U.S. Small Business Administration (Houston District Office)
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)—Houston District Office is the regional branch of the SBA responsible for supporting small-business development across the Greater Houston area and surrounding Gulf Coast counties. Its mission is to empower entrepreneurs through access to capital, business education, and government contracting opportunities.
Serving as a critical resource for both aspiring and established business owners, the Houston District Office connects entrepreneurs with a network of partner organizations—including SCORE Houston, the Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network, and the Women’s Business Center—to provide training, mentorship, and technical assistance.
The SBA Houston team conducts hundreds of workshops, webinars, and outreach events each year, helping entrepreneurs navigate business planning, financial management, and federal contracting programs. Special initiatives focus on supporting veterans, women, minority-owned businesses, and rural enterprises.
With a strong commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the Houston District Office plays a vital role in strengthening local economies by promoting innovation, resilience, and sustainable growth among small businesses.
