The Puerto Rican Cultural Center (PRFDance), based in Austin, Texas, is a nonprofit (501(c)(3)) organization committed to preserving, celebrating, and sharing Puerto Rican heritage through performing arts, education, and cultural events. Since 1997, under the leadership of founder and Artistic Director Dr. Ana María Tekina-eirú Maynard, PRFDance has offered folkloric dance, music, theater, and workshops rooted in Puerto Rico’s Afro-Indigenous and Spanish traditions. The Center serves as a cultural hub, welcoming participants of all ages and backgrounds to engage in authentic Puerto Rican art forms—including Bomba, Plena, Danza, and Taino heritage—and to foster pride, identity, and community connection.
