LULAC Council 102 is one of the oldest and most active councils within the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), the nation’s largest and longest-standing Hispanic civil rights organization. Based in Dallas, Council 102 leads civic engagement efforts, educational programs, and community leadership initiatives across North Texas.
The council organizes the long-running Chorizo & Menudo Breakfast Series, a monthly gathering that brings together business leaders, educators, elected officials, and community advocates for open dialogue on issues affecting Hispanic communities in Dallas–Fort Worth. These breakfasts serve as both a networking opportunity and a forum for civic empowerment, strengthening the voice of the Latino community through shared conversation and leadership.
LULAC Council 102 also works in partnership with local institutions, schools, and nonprofit organizations to expand educational access, advocate for equity, and promote civic participation among Hispanic residents throughout Texas.
Mission Statement:
To advance the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health, and civil rights of the Hispanic population in the United States.
